Brownbag Schedule

Brownbags are on designated Tuesdays from 12:15 – 12:50
Location: CARL RM 112 - Call Reference at 758-3053 for info

e-Books and e-Readers - 14 FEB 2012
Electronic book vendors now allow users to download entire e-Books to their computer desktop or to most of the major e-Readers on the market (with the exception of the Kindle).  Come to a lunchtime brownbag where we will show you how to find e-books, audio books or digital documents. Come to the CARL or discover us online at:

Please join the CARL for training from the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC). The DTIC database contains student papers from Major DOD Schools, After Action Reports, Senior Officer Debriefs, Command Histories, and many other useful military documents which CARL staff use daily. You too can use it to find technical and historical sources.

REFWORKS – 10 APR 2012
Create your bibliography just by a click of a mouse. OK, so it’s not that easy, but RefWorks can make it much easier to organize your sources, cite them and create a bibliography for your thesis or long paper.  Come and learn the tricks.

Do you know how to tweet, flick or add to the wall? Learn how to use Facebook, Twitter, Flickr and how to have a wiki. The focus is to have safe and effective social communication while following Army and DoD guidance.
