CARL will close at 4:30 PM today. There is no word yet on potential delays or closures for tomorrow.

From the Fort Leavenworth Emergency Operations Center:

1.  Due to expected road conditions this afternoon and evening, Fort
Leavenworth will begin an early phased release of non-emergency essential
personnel today starting at 2:00 p.m. The Chain of Command determines who and
what emergency essential is and when people should depart.

2.  Grant and Hancock gates will operate normally.  Sherman gate will open at
1:45 pm and close at 4:30 pm.  The light at Grant and Cody will be flashing
yellow for north and south bound traffic (Red for east and west traffic) from
1:45 until 4:00 pm.  All Lewis and Clark personnel are encouraged to depart
via Sherman Gate.

3.  People living outside the Leavenworth/Lansing area should be released at
2:00 p.m.  People in the Leavenworth/Lansing area should be released at 2:30
p.m.  and people living on post should be released by 3:00 p.m.

2. All DFMWR activities except child development centers are closed for the
evening at 4:00.  CDC will close when the last child is picked up.

3. The PX will close at 3:00 p.m. The Commissary and Shoppette will close at 5
